Load Rules
Missouri's secured load law, RSMo 307.010, applies on the drive there. An unsecured load can cost a fee at the gate, plus whatever flew out on Kingshighway.

WHEN IT FLIPS
Three Loads or More
Three loads is the tipping point. A garage cleanout runs 3 pickup loads minimum, which means three round trips, three gate fees, fuel, tarping, unloading by hand each time, and everything squeezed before the 4 PM weekday close.
Against $325 for a 10 yard → sitting in your driveway all week, including the weekend, the bin usually wins on money and always wins on your Saturday. Bigger cleanouts aren’t a debate at all.
What They Take and What They Don't
The station handles normal household and construction debris. The same problem items that can’t ride in our bins can’t cross their scale either: liquids, tires, refrigerant appliances, hazardous chemicals. Our banned items guide maps every one of those to its actual local drop-off, so nothing rides around in your trunk for a month.

Transfer Station Questions
Can I take one heavy item, like a water heater?
Yes, and single heavy items are a decent self-haul use case if you’ve got the truck and a second set of hands. Drain the water heater first. Forty gallons is eighty pounds you don’t need to lift.
Is the station open on Saturday?
No. Weekdays 7 to 4 only, and that closed-weekend fact is half the reason rental bins exist. Plan cleanout weekends accordingly, or let the bin bridge the gap.
Do you haul through the station too?
Our loads run through the licensed local waste stream the station anchors, and the landfill scale sets any overage on your rental, off a ticket you see. Same system either way. The difference is whose truck and whose Saturday.
